Sharon McAuley is a turnaround specialist, helping her clients transform their businesses to meet the challenges and opportunities of a changing world.

She honed her expertise over 20+ years in senior management positions with some of the country’s largest publishing companies. She has served as publisher of a variety of magazines and digital media, including Toronto Life, Saturday Night, Quill & Quire, Ottawa Magazine, and Where Canada (St. Joseph Media), as well as Investment Executive, Finance et Investissement, and IE: Money (TC Media.)

As Senior Director of Marketing for TC Media, Sharon managed brand development and marketing initiatives for Canadian Living, Elle Canada and Style at Home. Sharon began her career as a specialist in audience development and circulation marketing for a number of titles, including Saturday Night, Canadian Business and Canadian Art magazines. Over the course of her career, she has worked with more than 50 Canadian magazines as a Magazines Canada travelling consultant.

In 2022, Sharon and Broadview’s Editor/Publisher Jocelyn Bell were recognized by the National Magazine Awards as finalists for the Publisher Grand Prix Award for their transformative work at Broadview Magazine.

Sharon is a graduate of the University of Toronto (HBA, English) and earned an MBA from Ivey Business School, Western University. She’s a former chair of the board of Magazines Canada and has served as a board director for Canada’s National History Society, Vividata, the National Media Awards Foundation and the Ivey School of Business alumni magazine.
